Are you getting enough of the right kind of customer?
The goal of marketing is to keep a steady stream of qualified prospects coming to your business so that you can sell to them.
The foundation of a business must be built on a solid product or quality service. After that has been established there are three key legs that must be built to support the marketing efforts:
- Market: Your product or service must be aimed at a particular market, meaning that you have an idea in your mind of the ideal customer, and that there are enough of them to support the business.
- Media: With an identified market they must be reachable. What do they read, listen to or watch? Do they congregate together?
- Message: Having a market and media will allow you to craft a message that speaks to the market, and is appropriate for the media.
